  15. Well, I've had LW3.5 a couple of days now, and thought I'd post a few
  16. thoughts about the program. I'll save the questions untill I've
  17. finished reading the manual.

  19. Video:  I was originally skeptical about the inclusion of the video,
  20.         but it turned out to be quite good. A little boring in places,
  21.         and not really specific to LW3.5 however (or have I misplaced
  22.         the 'switcher' thing?), but some of the ideas present WILL
  23.         save me a lot of time discovering them for myself. I would
  24.         have liked to see more KICK ASS anims, just to get the
  25.         inspiration level up.

  27. Dongle: Well, I guess it's to be expected, but I'm really disapointed
  28.         that it doesn't work with parnet. It DOES have a pass through,
  29.         but parnet couldn't work through it. Bah! I have 90% of my
  30.         system sitting on another machine...

  32. Manual: It seems thorough enough, although I think I've found
  33.         numerous mistakes. It says on an extra sheet that the manual
  34.         is actually a pre3.5 version, and this is because NewTek
  35.         wanted to release it asap. Does this mean I'll get a new
  36.         version if I send in the registration card?

  38.         I would have liked the manual to be ringbound, plus I think
  39.         it would be handy to separate the modeller/layout parts. I'm
  40.         not too sure about having the tutorials right at the start
  41.         either - it wasn't until later that I realised the actual
  42.         start was quite a few pages in.

  44. Reg:    What do I gain from sending in the registration card? I've
  45.         registered several programs in the past, and never got any
  46.         results.

  48. Bugs:   Well, LW seems to crash whenever I try to do something that
  49.         requires more mem than I have (8 meg fast, 2 meg chip). Not
  50.         too friendly.

  52. Render: Something which has me puzzeled is the way the camera works.
  53.         If, before rendering, you select the camera view, I would have
  54.         imagined that this view is what would be rendered, but the
  55.         actual render seems to come out a little closer, with the top
  56.         and right chopped off a little. Odd.

  58. Preview: Where have the load/save preview options gone?

  60. LWPro:  Does anyone know of an Australian importer of this mag?
